Setting up Federal Electronic Funds Transfer Payment System (EFTPS)

How to set up the Electronic Funds Transfer Payment System (EFTPS):

Go to http://www.eftps.gov

There are two buttons, "make a payment" and "Enrollment," select Enrollment

The next page is a privacy statement, please read it and check the box, accepting it.

If using EFTPs for your business, On that same page, click on "enroll me as"  "Business"

On the next page need to fill out their EIN, name, phone numbers, etc

At the bottom of that page is "Financial Information" and payment options.

Need to take the default-"Authorize a transaction yourself" and fill out the bank routing number and the account number.  These should be taken from a check, not a deposit slip.

After that, you review your input and then process.  You should print out the end result.

In 10-14 days you should receive a single sheet from EFTPS that provides your pin number.
